• LPC: Licensed Professional Counselor: I have completed the educational and state requirements to practice independently, including examination and a 2 year supervision period. (South Carolina)

• IFS: Internal Family Systems

• IFSI: Internal Family Systems Institute (IFS-Institute.com).

• IFS Trained Therapist: There are two different types of training offered by the IFS Institute. You can be a practitioner or a therapist. IFS Trained Therapists are those, like myself, who have completed a relevant masters degree, met the examination requirements for their state, been approved by their state to provide mental health therapy, and have also successfully completed at least one of the three levels of IFS training.

• IFS-L3: I have completed all three levels of IFS training.

• IFS Certified Therapist: (Expected 2024) A therapist who has completed the following requirements set by the IFS Institute: 1) Training through the IFS Institute or an organization approved by the Institute 2) Consultation hours with an experienced IFS consultant who has been approved by the Institute 3) Submitted a video conducting IFS therapy to be evaluated and approved by an IFSI consultant.

• RLT: Relational Life Therapy (Certification expected 2025)

• ART: Accelerated Resolution Therapy

• SSP: Safe & Sound Protocol (based on Polyvagal theory)
